Mike's obituary will be in this Friday edition of the Press Enterprise.

Here are the details ahead of time:

Mike's Memorial will be held Saturday December 20, 3:00 p.m. Acheson Graham Mortuary on Magnolia Ave. Mike and Barbara are Quakers and we will hold this memorial according to their tradition. There will be some time for silent meditation, music and pictures of Mike, and an opportunity for anyone present who wishes to speak briefly in remembrance of our dear Michael.

On Monday, December 22 at 10:30 a.m. a short service will also be held at Temple Beth El, Riverside. This will be followed by a graveside Jewish prayer and burial one block away at Olivewood Cemetery at 11:30. Temple Beth El is on the corner of Victoria Ave. and Central, just off of the 91 fwy in Riverside.

Please in lieu of flowers, consider contributing to the nanny-fund established to help Barbara with the difficulty she faces now and in the coming months, to the American Lung Association, or to the Inland Valley Friends Meeting - the members of which helped Barbara survive through Mike's 84-day hospitalization by offering her unending help, comfort, emotional and spiritual support.

Barbara asks each of you to think about and write down a memory of Michael, or perhaps several memories, in order to create a scrapbook about Michael's life for his children so that they will know their father's life stories as they grow up. Include as many details as you can recollect. Please spend some time thinking about and writing those things down either now or in the future as they occur to you, and send them or give them to Barbara whenever possible.
